Project Overview
The Lifesaving Nutrition for Life project is a focused initiative dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of vulnerable women and children across five high-burden districts of Nepal—Banke and Bardiya in Lumbini Province, and Siraha, Saptari, and Sarlahi in Madhesh Province.
This project provides a comprehensive package of essential health and nutrition services, including:
- Screening and treatment of acute malnutrition
- Maternal and newborn nutrition support
- Strengthening of local health systems
Beyond service delivery, the project emphasizes capacity building by equipping health workers, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), and local health facilities with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver quality care. By reaching children under five, pregnant women, and high-risk infants, the project aims to prevent child survival crises, reduce malnutrition-related mortality, and build resilience in underserved communities.
Note: All positions are contingent upon funding availability and the issuance of subawards.
